The first business card was introduced around the 15th century and in face they were not called business cards back then but instead "visiting cards". Did you know that these cards did appear in the united states at their inception but in china but they didn't serve the same purpose as today. Back then people carried around these cards with them to indicate how important or interesting they were. Thus the beginning of a type of brochure to why someone would want to be around that person and talk to them.
